TRANSPORTATION

Berwyn is only 7 miles from downtown Chicago. There are an number of buses that can quickly connect commuters to the Green or Blue Line trains to Chicago. Berwyn is very close to Midway airport.

FUN FACTS

Berwyn’s annual Houby Day Parade honors their large CzechoSlovakian population that joined the community from the 1920’s to the 1970’s. The Maria SS Lauretana Italian-Sicilian Religious Festival happens near Labor Day on the Morton West High school grounds. 

Ogden Avenue in Berwyn is part of the Historic Route 66. Every September since 1990 there is an art car parade called Cartopia.
