Elmwood Park is a 1.9 square mile village just west of Chicago and north of Oak Park. In the 1800’s, city dwellers used to ride the train out to Elmwood Park and enjoy picnic lunches under the 200 year old Elm trees. These days, the community has an affordable mixture of single family homes and condos. North Avenue (the border of Elmwood Park) is a wonderful restaurant district.
Elmwood Park Station is a Metra Station connecting the village directly to downtown Chicago.
